Actually there were people who knew that something like this was going to happen, and that, conditions or no conditions, it is always sound to offer efficient machines (high mileage) rather than less efficient. (Reminds me a judge said to the relatives of a woman who, they said, was giving her money to a scam artist "people have the constitutional right to be stupid" Yes, they do.
